I believe that “gear” matters and doesn’t matter. I matters in the sense that you need it to do your job and fulfill your creative vision. Having access to great tools and equipment is a joy and it makes long days and intense shoots easier.
At the same time the gear doesn’t matter in the sense that it’s the user who makes the biggest difference.
